How to grow organically and sell your products on Instagram (without buying followers or advertising)

Instagram has one of the highest conversion rates when about promoting your products or service, but there is a trick: knowing how to properly target and approach your target audience.

When you provide value and genuinely interact with your audience, they will be more willing to listen and take note of what it is that you are promoting.

By following targeted users in your niche, you are increasing the probability of these people seeing your post. If you then message these people, they will not only see your message, but they will also see that you have been following them (especially if you were actively engaged with their posts by liking and commenting).

Chances that these users to follow you back are very high, especially if they share the same interest within your niche. It is basically a red carpet rolled out for you, and you’re now closer than never to gain a customer for life (to be read ongoing income).

If you want to grow a large following on Instagram and grow your online sales, these are the main things you need doing:

1. Target people in your niche

It sounds like an obvious thing to do, but you would be surprised how many people end up targeting the wrong people. When I first started out on Instagram, I made this same mistake and my results were nowhere close to what they could have been. The people I was targeting had no interest in what I was promoting and it showed in the engagement of their posts compared to others.

2. Message people and interact with them on their posts

After finding out who are the ideal buyers in your niche, and after you message them with what you have to offer that will change their life, take the time to regularly engage with them. Not only will this push you to grow your follower base, but it will also lead to a high conversion rate of your products. As the old saying goes, “you can’t sell something to someone who don’t know who you are”.

3. Grow your own blog at the same time (you never know what happens with your Insta page)

Social media is your best friend when it comes to building your blog an audience and a following base (and its never bad to have a backup plan in case something happens with your Instagram profile). There are ways you can use Instagram to greatly enhance the chances that your blog’s content will perform well and get you real results. But, how do you use Instagram to your advantage?

Profile your Instagram biography in a way to drive traffic to your website or blog. When somebody visits your profile, you could have a CTA where you encourage them to visit your blog and stay connected with you there. If they do, there is a good chance that they will see more of what you have posted and eventually even become regular website shoppers.

Stay consistent and keep hustling

To get the best results out of your Instagram marketing, you need to be consistent with all this. In order for targeting, messaging and interacting to have their intended effect on your audience, you need a proper profiled account and a consistent workflow of adding quality posts about what you’re offering.

By only following these basic tactics, will eventually lead into your product being seen and purchased by a large amount of users in your target audience.
